Bottom Boards

Standard Bottom Board provides the entrance to your hive and gives the bees proper space to work. Our Bottom Board is constructed with ¾" (1.91 cm) plywood that is stapled and glued together to give you years of service. Untreated.

Screened Board is designed to be used with our Standard Bottom Board (not included.) The space created below the screen allows mites to fall through the bottom so that they cannot climb back up into the hive. Use with the replacement sticky board for easy removal of mites and debris. Note: Hive bodies must be removed to clean the bottom board.

This versatile Screened Bottom Board w/ Drawer, fully assembled varroa trap can be used with a standard bottom board or just a hive stand. Our drawer style (opens in back) means that you do not have to disassemble the hive to clean the trap. A replacement sticky board can be placed inside the drawer to monitor or evaluate mite loads.
