West Coast Bee Supply is happy to bee offering packaged bees from Tasmania once again this year!
The Island of Tasmania in Australia is one of the last areas in the world that can still say they are Varroa Mite free and we are happy to be able offer you packages of bees from this region. By offering mite free packages this will allow you to delay mite growth in your colonies and promote large stronger healthy colonies for your apiary.
Packages come in a box style package with a caged queen of Carniolan lineage. Carniolan queens are better suited to our B.C. climate and do well in wetter, cooler climates with a shorter bee season.
- 2 options: 1kg & 1.5 kg <- an extra 0.5kg (1lb) more bees to give your hives a great head start!
- Package pick up mid-March
